If you have not knitted any gloves, you should first knit mittens. Finger gloves are knitted similarly, but require some practice. Knit mittens and also knit finger gloves are the absolute hit among the knitters. The gloves are usually worked in rounds with a needle game spread over five or four needles. Knitting in rounds forms the gloves to a hose. No seams are produced.
In the size chart you will find the information for the different sizes of mittens and for the finger gloves.
First, you should measure your hand circumference and determine its size. You can put your hand on a piece of paper and draw it off. Now measure the length from the middle finger to the end of your hand. In the size table, you can then find your sizes.
Make a mesh sample
Even if you find it so annoying, you should make sure you have a knitted sample.
According to the manufacturer's specifications, refer to the band of Wool.
What is a cross?
You should know what a cross means to knit mittens or finger gloves. A cross is the thread between the knitted and the next stitch.
Knit the cuffs of the gloves
The gloves begin with the knitting of the cuffs. The rib pattern is usually knitted, i.e. a stitch on the left, a stitch on the right or two stitches on the left and two stitches to the right in the change. The cuffs should be six to eight inches long for adults ' gloves. Babies or toddlers have a range of 3 to4 centimeters.
When knitting the cuff, the actual mittens begin to knit.
Knit the palm of the gloves
Note that in the right glove the inner palm of the hand is knitted over the STS of the 1st and 2nd needle. The back of the hand is worked over the needles of the 3rd and 4th needle.
With the left glove, the palm of the hand is knitted over the STS of the 3rd and 4th needle. The back of the hand is knitted on the STS of the first and second needle.
Gloves without finger knitting
After the cuff, it goes on with right stitches. Only right stitches are knitted up to the thumb approach. Now the thumb wedge is worked in:
2. Needle Increase: Before the second and penultimate stitch a stitch increases. Knit a stitch on the right, place the cross as a new sling on the left needle and knit like a new stitch.
Knit the next round right stitches. In every second round, two stitches are increased each. The number of stitches on the first and fourth Needle and on the second and third needle should now be the same. Now continue knitting until you reach your ideal length. The stitches for the thumb are now first worked on another knitting needle and later knitted for the thumb to the end.
Now the same number of stitches should be on all needles. If you have reached the small finger with your work, then only the tip of the glove will be missing.
Lace of mittens knitting
The stitches on the right and left of the first and third needle are now removed. After another three laps right stitches are knitted again right and left stitches. This will continue to work until only a few stitches are left on the needle. The opening is pulled together with a thread.
Knit the thumb of the mitten
Distribute the previously unrecognized stitches for the thumb on two needles. You can still take stitches, always the same number on both needles. Continue knitting until you reach your size, then remove the stitches. The last ones are pulled together with a thread.
Gloves are not so hard, it only requires a little practice and then it will be easy to knit finger gloves.
